Hi Troy,
We're just about to announce a webinar on the new Database via the iolite mailing list.
In the meantime, you don't need to put each project in its own database if you have a column that contains the project's name. If you have that column, and you still just want to see one particular project, you can just filter by that column.
I was working on a file and assumed it would be in the database when I created a new one, but as far as I could tell it isn't.
That is a bit confusing. We may make some changes so that it less confusing, but basically the Database view is completely independent of the current session. It will only appear in the database when you select it and import it.
I guess the thinking here was that you may want to compare your current session with your database without necessarily importing it. I tend to think of the Database as the more permanent record of results, rather than a place you'd store results to check them. But that's just how I conceptualize it, and there's nothing hardwired in the code that enforces that concept.
Anyway, there should be an announcement about the webinar soon!
