The problem with .run files from the old Nu Plasma instruments (which we have in our lab) is that they don't have any information about the channels. In the past we've written all sorts of workarounds, but in iolite v4, we decided it best to allow people to write their own importer for their .run files.
This can be a bit daunting, and I haven't had a chance to properly document the process, so if you want to send me an example file, I'll write the importer for you and send it back. You can then just put it in your Importers folder in your iolite folder, and iolite will then be able to import the data. Please feel free to send us an email on the iolite support email.
