New Reference Materials

Hello,

I'm trying to add a reference material for U-Pb geochronology. I found the path to the other reference materials and tried to add the file but it doesn't show up when I reopen iolite.

Hi,

If you're trying to load an iolite v3 reference material file, you should use the iolite v3 RM importer tool in the Tools menu (listed as "Import iolite3 RM file" in the Tools menu).

This will ask you to specify the file you want to import, and then it will convert it to iolite v4 Ref Mat format (v4 uses a different format), and save it in your Reference Materials folder.

Please let me know if that doesn't work.

This does not work either. I suspect it is because special permissions are needed to save the file in the directory for the Reference Materials.

Is there a way to just convert the v3 file to v4 and save it elsewhere so that I can manually override the special permission issue?

I was able to resolve the issue by changing paths and moving the reference materials folder.
