Data reduction with a standard made in-house

Hi everyone,

I have made a glass standard in our laboratory doped with Bromine and Iodine with a few hundred ppm. To quantify the Laser data I've tried to create my Reference Material by copying a RM included in iolite and changing the values. The problem now is that I cannot get the output data for Bromine and Iodine. I don't know if I've made a mistake in the creation of the RM file, or if the data reduction of those elements, which are challenging to acquire with the laser and have low concentrations is different... Does someone have a hint?

Please post the reference material file and I'll verify that it is setup correctly for use with the trace elements data reduction schemes.

Hi Mara,
I guess your are measuring your in-house glass against another similar glass containing Br and I? Am I right? So, say, if you're using NIST 610 (provided it has Br and I, I don't know), simply reduce your data using the trace elements DRS. Do you see a signal for Br and I in your glass? That's the first thing I'd check. Also (I'm not a glass standard expert, be advised), you should probably check whether those elements are distributed homogeneously in the in-house glass.
