Hi Bence and Joe,
I am having a problem with importing my laser log file. The file will load into iolite4 but it doesn’t recognize my first sample spot. I think the problem is our laser log file shows an incorrect spot size and rep rate for the first sample. Is there a way to edit the laser log file to fix this and prevent the “could not read the date format in the laser log file” error?

Hi Emily,

You can certainly open up the log file and edit it -- use Excel with caution though as it can sometimes change things for the worse (e.g. changing date formatting or line endings). Plain text editors are generally safer.

If you share the log and data with me (joe at iolite-software.com), I'll have a look to see where the problem is.
