It looks like you have selections for your pre-ablations? That is, the very short, high-counts intervals before each ablation. These are giving you the strange spline because they have very different count rates compared to the main ablations.
You can filter these out in the Samples Browser using the Advanced Search Criteria button (top right of window, highlighted in orange below):
Click the main button once to toggle filtering On/Off. Click the down arrow next to it to show the filtering options. In this case, you want to filter out the pre-ablations which have very short durations. To change the comparator to greater than ('>') double click on it (it will be an equals sign by default). Set the minimum duration here. I'd recommend some value that will filter out the short pre-ablations.
Obviously, this is quite annoying, and the pre-ablations should not be treated the same as the main ablations in the laser log file. We'll work with the instrument providers to change this (Elemental Scientific Lasers, the owners of iolite, are already on this).
