Format of laser log file

Hello iolite community

I am a new user of this software and have a question about laser log file.

Our group installed a new ablation system for LA-ICPMS. This system is not listed in "iolite 4 Documentation" PDF, and doesn't implement laser log file generation. I'll ask the technician to update the system so that I can get laser log file, which iolite v4 can read. I'd like to know the format of laser log file available with iolite v4. I got an example "Gabbro_log.csv", but I don't think all parameters in this log file (e.g. cell pressure) are recorded in our laser system.

What kind of csv format should I ask the technician to create?

Hi Kentaro,

The cell pressures are not required or read by iolite. The z-axis values are optional.

One way to test a new log file is to try loading it in iolite. If there are errors, iolite will let you know. If you have any troubles interpreting the error messages, or in general, please let me know.
