Recently I am processing a batch of rutile data, I want to use 208Pb to calibrate the data results, but I don't know how to do it in the software. Can you provide me with a detailed procedure to guide me how to correct the data and get the data results

Hi Gods,

If you want to use the Zack et al., 2011 method (https://doi.org/10.1007/s00410-011-0609-4) you need to modify the original csv file from your ICP-MS before it is uploaded into Iolite.

Alternatively, you can do the 208 common Pb correction in Iolite using VizualAge by going Visualisations--> VizualAge --> 208 Common Pb correction (or something along those lines; i don't have Iolite infront of me).

I once tested both methods a got basically the same results.

I was having a problem.I tried following your advice to use the VizualAge -> 208 Common Pb correction path. However, I’ve run into an issue: after I set the parameters and click the calculate button, the software doesn't seem to respond. No data is processed.

Do you know if there are specific "trigger" parameters I might be missing in my Reference Material settings or the DRS?

Any further insights you have would be greatly appreciated!
