Peak Integration

Hi everyone!

I am new to using Iolite and I was wondering if there was a way to do peak integration? My lab lasers ice, and because of that it is very difficult to make uniform standards. The laser hits impurities and ice crystals at the same time which causes high variability in the signal. Using the mean is okay, but the process may be better for us by using peak integration. Is there a way to do this in the software, or do we have to use an external software to do this?

Hi Sam,

It is possible, but it's currently done via a python DRS to create new channels that are the sum of each pulse.

In the past we've provided these DRS on a case by case basis and developed each DRS collaboratively with the researchers, but at some point we'd like to make a user-interface tool to make it more straightforward. But in the short term, if you'd like to contact the iolite support email, we can help get you set up.
