Error opening .LAX file in Cell View

Hi, when trying to associate ActiveView2 LAX file in the Cell View plugin it causes the error 'A potentially unrecoverable error has occurred: Could not open zip file for reading.'

I've made sure the file isn't within a zipped folder and moved the file to different locations but still the same error. Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Other details that might help: I'm running Iolite 4.9.4 on a Mac (M2 chip) version 12.4 with 8GB memory. The LAX file is _4GB.

Is the LAX file in a networked folder, such as OneDrive? OneDrive causes all sorts of issues associated with permissions, whether the file is on the actual drive or not etc etc.

If it is in OneDrive, can you try moving it to another (non-networked) folder and see if that helps?

Thanks for the quick reply! It was on OneDrive, however I've just moved all files off network, and the same error occurs. Do you have any other ideas?

Hi again,

I've just realised the problem (and now seems to be working!) - my analytical session was over two days and there was a separate iolite file for each day. The first LAX file must have been corrupted(?) by a second LAX file which contained spot information from both sessions. Loading the second LAX file for both sessions works fine in cell view 🙂

Note in this case it also works on OneDrive.
