Hi,

I have some questions:
When I use of MUL-Zns as an internal standard for sphalerite. The standard deviations for Fe, As, Mn, and Sn appear quite high, as shown in the attached files. What do you think about this?

When an analysis is compromised, for instance, due to a significant number of inclusions, should I exclude it directly from my dataset?

Do you get different RSDs when using a different RM? If so, I would check that there are no spline effects occuring. These include steep changes in the spline value. Depending on how your experiment is set up, and in particular how many RM measurements you have and how spread out they are, you may need to change the spline type. A smoother spline type may reduce your RSDs... if it is related to the RM.

Regarding excluding samples with many inclusions, you may want to consider linking selections. Linked selections take the data from multiple "component" selections and combines them before calculating statistics for the whole. This has the advantage of improving the stats (by increasing the n value) c.f. many individual selections.

You can avoid inclusions by using the Automatic Selections tool (in the Selections menu) and setting the criteria to avoid the inclusions.

The easiest place to change the spline type is in the Time Series View, in the Groups section of the Settings Panel:

Double-clicking on the spline type will open a dropdown menu for selecting the spline type. You can then view the spline in the main time series plot.
