Using IsoplotR in iolite: templates

Hi,

I saw in the manual that you can now export data directly to IsoPlotR using the "visualization' drop down menu. However, I couldn't find good info on how the json templates for systems other than UPb are constructed. I read hourigans post but I don't quite get it...

At the moment this isn't available in a processing template. I would consider it an action that you'd take at the end of processing your data... would you agree? Or are you thinking of using IsoplotR for some decision on processing your data?

no you are perfectly right: this would come as the very last step in processing. Me lazy just thought I could save those repetitive 60s of exporting - arranging - copy/paste 😃 but then I realized that I have to do it anyway!

Is it not automatic via the Visualization menu?

Or do you mean that you would like it implemented for other systems? We implemented it using the JSON format file provided by Prof Vermeesch, but I think you could generate it by setting up your dataset, and clicking the "Save" button. If you send that to us, along with an example dataset, we'll add the template so that you don't have to do it by hand.
