I'm not sure how LODs could be calculated for an ROI, because ROIs might span several scanlines. They might also encompass different phases (e.g. different minerals) which may have different sensitivities. For example, if we had the following ROI (from the 3D Trace Elements example dataset):

And we converted that into a selection group (by right clicking on it in the ROI list and selecting "To selection group"), it would look like this in the Time Series View:

You can see it makes up parts of many different scan lines. What value would be appropriate for the n_background in the LOD formula, or the value for S?
If you have a different way of thinking about it, please let me know, because others have asked about this in the past and i haven't come up with a good mental model for it.
Re: options for turning errors etc on/off in the imaging data table, this is a good idea and we'll add it in an upcoming release of iolite.
