Hi Iolite Team!
I'm actually posting a question that I asked of Bence, and he suggested that I post it to the forum because it likely applies to many people.
The issue: When I import Agilent 8900 files, Iolite 4 informs me that it doesn't have information for dwell times. What am I missing?
Bence's reply: It’s just a warning that Agilent csv files don’t contain dwell time info, so if you wanted to calculated Pettke LODs, you wouldn’t be able to. We put this in because we were getting a lot of questions about why Pettke LODs weren’t being calculated.
You can either dismiss the warning so that you never see it again. Or, you can copy your batch folders across from your Agilent computer and get iolite to import those. The batch folders are those ending in .b (e.g. MyBatch.b). In the folder there is the .csv file for every sample, but also a bunch of .xml files that contain (amongst other things) the dwell time info. iolite looks for the .xml files when you import the .csv file, and if it finds it, it automatically reads in the dwell times and other metadata.
Hope this helps other who have had this question!
