I just received the following from Ash Norris from Norris Scientific (the author of GeoStar):
To Enable Image Logging in GeoStar
Click the "Run Sequence" button as usual and on the run sequence form click the checkbox called "Image Logging".
To Configure Image Logging in GeoStar
Open the settings and choose the "Behaviour" tab. In the "Logging" group there are options for the image logging feature. Use the options here to choose what files are saved (JPEG or PNG) and whether they are captured before and/or after the ablation. It is also possible to log images in “Transmitted Light” and as cut-outs from the “Main Display”. “Reflected Light” images are always saved. With all options selected five images will be saved for each ablation in the sequence.
To Find Image Logging Files
GeoStar log files are either saved alongside the sequence file, or to a single location specified in the Settings. The image files are all saved into a folder, named with the same timestamp as the other log files.
The files are given a name so that they appear in order when viewed in most file browsers, and the "A" refers to pre-ablation images and "B" to post-ablation images.
Export Main Display at Point Locations
Use this feature if you forgot to enable image logging.
From the Sequence menu choose "Export Main Display at Point Locations".
Doing so will save the main display at each of the point locations in the sequence. This is the same image that would be saved when the “Image Logging” feature is configured to save the Main Display. Choosing this command will prompt for a folder location to be chosen, and then show a progress dialogue while each image is exported separately.
Getting Help
There is information in the GeoStar manual supplied with the software, or you can contact Ashley at Norris Scientific for support (geostar@norsci.com).
