Image display + concentrations

Hi Iolite team,

Since upgrading to version 4.8(.1) on MacOS, I have problems with Imaging.
1) After having calculated concentrations (with Trace Elements DRS), the corresponding images cannot be always displayed. For example, 238U_pm will appear ok with Linear and Log color scale types, but 25Mg_ppm will only appear in Linear mode (Log will give a uniform brown color). ECDF color scale seems not to work.
2) In the parameters, the Limits are always 0 with the Auto option selected. Changing the options makes nothing. however, I can see that pixel values do exist with the Loupe inspector which works fine.

If you have some ideas, I can send you the corresponding .io4 file.

Thank you for sharing your session. We were able to track down the issue and believe it is fixed in the just release v4.8.2. Please let us know if that is not the case.

Hi,
I have the v4.8.2 software but I'm still experiencing the second problem. After processing the data with Trace Elements DR and using an internal standard (is the same without an internal standard), I can't change, in the imaging menu -parameters, the Limits of the elements for the concentrations I need. Every time I put a number the limits change to "value" but I can't change the actual number since it always jumps back to a random prefixed number.

Hope there is an easy solution, I can send you as well my iolite file,

Yes, there is an additional problem that has been fixed and will be included in 4.8.3. In the meantime, I think you'll find that if you change "Cache" from "Memory" to "None" the problem should go away.
