Hi Iolite team,

A small bug report : the 1s% error reported by Iolite 4.8 is always 0 for the DC 207/206 dan Final 207/206 ratios, after using the VisualAge U-Pb combine. I tested with several interpolation curves but no change. I can remember it was working in earlier versions. It works with all other ratios.

Regards,

Guilhem

Edit : it is also 0 for the 207/235. The issue may come from here?

Having 0 error for 207/206 of the reference material selections is the expected behavior for the default UComPbine settings because every time-slice of the reference material 207/206 is corrected to the expected value. If you check "Use selection means", this corrects the selection average (rather than each time-slice) to the expected value, so in this case you get some error for each.

Having 0 for other channels (like 207/235) is unexpected and is not what I observe here. If that is the case, please send your io4 file to support for us to investigate.

    All the best,

My apologies for the late reply!

Can you please clarify where you're seeing the 1s% being 0? Is this from an export script? In iolite's results plots and/or table? In the VizualAge live concordia? Using the session you shared, there seems to be > 0 error for 207/206 everywhere I look if "use selection mean" is checked in the DRS settings.

    All the best,

I agree, I was not precise enough.
I wanted to describe the "excess scatter" error rather than individual errors... The one accessed in Data/Selections/Information (or right click/Show Properties in Time Series), for a given channel (ie Pb207/Pb206_CPS). Since Pb206/238U_CPS and Pb207/235U_CPS are associated to somme excess scatter, I would expect excess scatter on 207/206 too.
