Issue with creating a selection for the reference material

Hiya, I've imported my data and my log file without issue, but I'm having trouble selecting the reference material. When I use auto selection it doesn't recognise my reference (G_NIST610). When I try to do it manually the drop down menu for selecting the reference material doesn't work, I click the arrow but no options come up. I did manage to create a reference material selection and then name it G_NIST610 but when I get to the DR stage and I need to set the reference material the drop down arrow here doesn't work either. Is there something I am doing wrong? I've attached the two files in case they're the problem.

It sounds like your Reference Materials folder is not being read correctly. Could you please check that the Reference Materials path is set correctly in iolite's Preferences (in the Paths section). When you installed iolite, you would have been asked if you want to create an iolite folder in your Documents folder. In that iolite folder, there should be a folder of reference materials. That's the folder iolite should be loading, and that is what is set in iolite's Preferences.

I uninstalled iolite and upon re-installation it doesn't seem to ask me about the Documents folder, and after installation the documents folder is empty. The only request I get is to install the program itself.

iolite will ask where you want to set up your folder of reference materials etc after the installation process, during your first run of the software.

For anyone following this thread: it was an issue with OneDrive syncing and file paths.

Bence Hello Bence, I meet same issue when I create selection from samples, and reference material are not shown as well. I have updated OneDrive syncing, while it does not work.

Hi Yulun ,

OneDrive can be confusing in how it sets up file locations etc. I would recommend putting your Reference Materials folder somewhere on your computer not managed by OneDrive. This can be tricky because the File Explorer shows your Documents folder as if it's a normal folder, but it may actually be part of OneDrive. You can check this by looking at the full path of the folder in File Explorer.

Yulun Problem is solved. I reset the path for Reference Materials folder (in the preference section).
