How does Limits of detection works in Iolite4

I would like to ask, about how Iolite4 computes limits of detection for point analysis. Which points of background spline does it use for calculating limits of detection for each point? I am momentarily interested in comparing different evaulation softwares using LoD formula by Longerich 1997.
