Output Channels

Hi all, I am processing some data using iolite 4 and using trace element DRS. It looks like I only have output channels for Pt and Pd and was wondering if I can add output channels, if I need to calculate them, or if I imported data incorrectly. I get all the channels in cps and mean counts, just not as ppm.

If you only have Pt and Pd ppm channels, depending on what reference material (RM) you're using, they might be the only elements with accepted values for your RM.

Which RM are you using and does it have values for all channels?

Thanks Bence, I am using an in house standard but I thought I had a few more elements in the reference file. Is it worth using two external standards, one for PGEs and another for major elements?

It can be, but it depends on how closely your other RM matches your samples, and whether you can compensate for differences with an internal standard (or sum normalisation).

What type of sample are you measuring and what other RMs do you have?
